COVID-19 can't keep Cillian down!
“We are thankful for the Kaye therapy bench so this fella can continue to practice sitting, dressing and standing! Cillian was making great strides in PT, and with the closure of school and PT clinics, we were bummed for the forced break. It’s amazing that we can now practice this (safely) at home!! Cillian is a vibrant 6 year old. He has numerous medical diagnoses and receives Special Education services at school. At school he has many seating options available to him that optimize his learning. In addition to the services at school he receives physical therapy to help him improve his ability to sit, stand, and dress himself. Cillian like many children, is currently out of school and unable to attend physical therapy as normal because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Spending significantly more time at home led his family to see that he needed better seating equipment to continue his learning and therapy. His current schooling from home environment was not adequate for his needs. Cillian’s advocate reached out to the Love Fund to get a special bench for in the home. The bench will allow him to continue to make physical and educational strides while he is unable to attend school. It will also enable him to continue practicing the therapy skills at home long term.
