COVID-19 Response
Over the course of this month, things have rapidly changed for many of us. I first want to say that we are here for you, please don't hesitate to reach out if I can be of any assistance. I want to assure you that we take the health and well-being of our volunteers, supporters, and the children you help serve very seriously. As an important stakeholder of the Love Fund, I wanted to personally inform you of the steps we are taking.
Precautions:
Like you, we're closely monitoring the quickly developing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and following the CDC guidelines.
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we will practice social distancing and have all staff working remotely. During the next 30 days we will be gearing up to serve the increased need in our community. Already we have spoken to over 100 youth advocates to identify how best to help the children in our city.
We will work tirelessly to keep our service as uninterrupted as possible. You can keep up with us on our social channels to see the impact of your support during this time.
We are all in this together. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies, so we can continue to bridge the gaps in youth services and fulfill unmet needs for children across Kansas City.
If you were looking forward to attending one of our annual events don't worry, we have your back. All events that were scheduled to occur in the months of March, April, and May will be rescheduled for this fall! We made the difficult decision to reschedule our Golf Classic at Canyon Farms Golf Club from May to October 26th. We still want to see all of you in person and will keep you updated. Events scheduled after May 31st are expected to occur as currently scheduled.
Thank you!
We are so grateful to each of you for your patience, understanding and support during this time. You and your families health, safety and well-being are important to us. Our community would not be the same without you and your commitment. During these uncertain times, I want to thank you for all that you do for Love Fund kids and all that you are doing to support fellow our fellow Kansas Citians as we face this unprecedented time.
We are honored to have your support and are working to make you proud. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me, I would love to hear from you.
Stay healthy,
