Meet Abigail, “Abby.” Abby’s advocate contacted the FOX4 Love Fund last year seeking resources to help her foster an emotional understanding of the world around her. She’s made a lot of progress over the past few years using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA therapy) and attending preschool with support of a registered behavior technician. The results were great, but additional resources were needed to assure long-term success.

The largest areas of concern for Abby are community safety and communication. Abby’s request to the Love Fund was a set of tools (games, books, and flashcards) that would help her more easily interact with others. Thanks to donors like you, Abby is identifying her emotions, the emotions of others, and how to respond to things that frustrate her. Abby is beginning to utilize words and coping skills instead of screaming, running away, and throwing things.

Abby’s family is very grateful for the products provided through the Love Fund. “They’ve really provided some great tools that Abby can use at home, at school, and within her community. They’ve greatly improved her ability to interact successfully in a variety of settings!” Go, Abby!

I want to be a scientist when I grow up!
