Meet Alexander
Alexander is a 7 year old boy who loves to go, go go! He lives with his parents and two sisters in Platte County. He loves going to his grandmother’s farm, to school, and playing with his dog. He enjoys spending time outdoors and going for walks and rides in his stroller.
Alexander has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) which impacts his verbal and fine motor skills, postural control and motor planning. He tires easily when walking due to low muscle tone and delays in gross motor development so he usually rides in a stroller.
Alexander’s family was encouraged to apply to the Love Fund for an adaptive tricycle to help him develop strength and coordination while participating in exercise and play at home. He loves his new Triad TMX Tricycle in his favorite color - orange! The bike provides the extra postural support he needs to sit safely and comfortably. It also provides the opportunity to be outside and get exercise while improving his muscle tone and gross motor development. Alexander can’t wait to grow in his ability to ride independently.
Thank you Love Fund supporters for providing this special bike for Alexander!
