Meet Rocco

Meet Rocco. Rocco was diagnosed with Lissencephaly, infantile spasms, tonic-clonic seizure disorder, visual impairment, low muscle tone, and other areas of development. Rocco cannot sit unassisted, roll, crawl, stand, or walk.

Rocco’s physical therapist reached out to the Love Fund in assisting him with a Go-to seat and a Splashy bath seat.

The Go-to-seat will help Rocco in social communication and play skills as Rocco will have another way to safely sit in an upright position and can interact with others at eye level. The seat will allow Rocco to ride in grocery carts, wagons, swings, etc. Before receiving this item, Rocco was unable to sit up because of his decreased muscle tone. Now, Rocco can see and interact with his environment and play with others instead of always sitting in a reclined position facing upward.

Like most children Rocco loves the water but, bathing him safely was becoming more difficult as he grew and increased in weight. The Splashy bath seat has five-points of harness that his mom can use with Rocco in the bathtub, allowing him more time to play and splash in the tub freely without worry of injury to mom or Rocco.
